Full Time - 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This role and contract sit within our Facilities Management sector of G4S where we aim to improve the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments.

We are looking for a Logistics Driver to join our team based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

This is a Full Time role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 16:00. Overtime may also be available.

As a Logistics Driver, you will be responsible for the collection, carriage and delivery of a range of items, maintaining high standards of Safety, Security and Accountability.

This is also a great opportunity to become skilled in a range of Logistics functions.

Other Key Responsibilities will include:

Drive vehicles and operate Mechanical Handling Equipment on and off site.
Meet operational requirements, demonstrating a high level of flexibility, initiative and multi
functionality.
Carry out manual handling tasks.
Maintain a clean and tidy workplace, completing housekeeping tasks as appropriate.
Undertake tasks offsite that may incur an away-stay due to the nature of the task, accommodation will be arranged at the appropriate location.
Work as a flexible member of the Logistics Team, providing a variety of effective, organised and efficient services with a high level of Customer Service.

You will also be required to have a strong awareness of Health and Safety, these accountabilities include:

Comply with health and safety and emergency procedures.
Abide by all appropriate Risk Assessments.
Appropriately wear and maintain all items of Personal Protective Equipment.
Carry out vehicle and machinery inspections before use and complete the associated paperwork.
Work safely and efficiently and with due regard for your own Health and Safety and the Health and Safety and the welfare of others.
Adhere to Safe Systems of Work procedures and practices and using appropriate safety devices, equipment and clothing provided by G4S.
Report all unsafe conditions, damage and near misses to the appropriate person.
To become familiar with, and comply with, all site rules, regulations, safe practices and procedures affecting health and safety.

The Ideal Candidate:

Essential Criteria:

Clean Driving Licence and be willing to train for HGV categories.
Be willing to train on other vehicles/equipment.
Good verbal and written communication.
A flexible approach to the role.
Be a good team player.
Good Geographical knowledge of the UK.
Physically fit.

Desirable Criteria:

HGV Licence.
DCPC card.
FLT Licence.
Current Tachograph card.
HGV driving experience.
