Delivery Officer - Gloucester (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Rate: £21.00ph

Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

To provide a responsive service to assist Delivery Lead Officers in the discharge of their devolved responsibilities in relation to property. Posts will be divided across 2 specialism's (Surveyor, Engineer) with specific requirements relevant to the specialism.

Accountabilities:

To undertake premises visits, inspections, and condition surveys and produce associated reports and carry out any immediate works that are appropriate to the role.
To provide end to end project management for works identified during inspection, including data collection and reporting, procurement of works and monitoring of contractors.
To work closely with schools, governing bodies and other partners to ensure effective identification of needs and co-ordination of resources and promotion of the service, and to identify opportunities for jointly funded schemes in accordance with Asset Management planning principles.
To undertake and commission property related surveys and investigations to prepare technical/ feasibility reports and other relevant reports and to provide planning, building regulations, fire regulations and other advice relevant to scheme proposals.
To support the Strategic function within AMPS to develop programmes of activity to manage the Council's property portfolio
To provide performance information as required.
To use and contribute to the development of information technology and systems
To give high regard to customer relations, both internal and external
To comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, and ensure clients, contractors and consultants are aware of these
