Do you have a high-level experience working with the day-to-day management of Internal business IT infrastructures?

My client, a family owned and well-established supplier of construction/aggregate products are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join their forever growing team in Gloucester on a permanent basis.

Success in this role is heavily dependent on experience. You will be offered a salary between £25 - £37k with the possibility of receiving a company car.

You will work with a variety of infrastructures such as LAN, WAN, Voice, Email, software solutions, server, storage, WinTel, Virtual Platforms, mobile working and VPNs, monitoring & reporting systems, and cloud solutions.

You will also be responsible for the following;

• 3rd Party supplier management: contracts, billing, service improvement
• Ownership and management of fleet tracking solution
• Ownership and management of the Telecoms solutions: Fixed and Mobile
• Disaster Recovery & service restoration
• Provisioning of new hardware or software solutions
• Lead the technical strategy for the group
• Asset Management and tracking via MDM (mobile device management) solution
• To act as an escalation point for technical service providers via telephone, e-mail and face to face including out of hours

• Demonstratable experience of managing a network across various sites with a thorough understanding of issues encountered when operating corporate infrastructure and service platforms: TCP/IP Networking, CAT5, Fibre Uplinks, ADSL/VDSL, Leased Lines
• Fundamental understanding of the following: Microsoft Windows Server 2019, Microsoft SQL, Virtualization Technologies specifically VMware, VEEAM Backup, Microsoft Windows 10
• Hands on technical experience in the design & maintenance of a corporate network and related services. Experience in some of the following technologies would be an advantage: CiscoCisco Meraki, VMware, HP, QNAP, Dell, Lenovo, Netgear, Panasonic
• Wi-Fi experience, design & maintenance of guest and corporate solutions
• Experience in cloud solutions: Office 365, Cisco Umbrella, Cisco Meraki an advantage
• Experience with mobile devices (Android & iOS) with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform experience desirable
• An understanding of fleet tracking solutions
• Able to analyse problems, issues & needs and provide robust but adaptable solutions which meet current and future requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to handle objections and resistance to change
• Ability to cope with a changing environment -adapting to meet business-critical events
• Able to plan, organise and prioritise own workload
• Capable of working under pressure, using own initiative with minimal supervision
• Team player, who contributes ideas and suggestions for improvement
• Previous supplier management experience is essential
• Exposure to managing projects desirable
