They currently seek to recruit an experienced HR & Payroll Officer, a role which has been described by the employer as an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to take a step up to a second in command position and eventually take the reigns as Head of HR.

This is a permanent position offered on a full-time basis although consideration may be given to candidates seeking part time working hours. The role will be principally based in Thornbury though will entail some full expenses travel between sites. All business locations offer free onsite parking.

This is a broad role where the successful candidate will support an experienced team as part of a busy function. Key responsibilities to include:

- General HR management to include delivery of HR policies, ensuring quality procedures and adhering to current HR protocol

- Play a key role in all aspects of the recruitment and onboarding process to include creating recruitment campaigns and working with employment consultancies

- Maintain, update and develop employee contracts and paperwork to include time management systems

- Act as an initial point of contact for employee queries and advise on HR issues

- Promote a caring, inclusive working environment for all employees

- Deliver pay and performance programs

- Liaise with payroll administration teams to ensure smooth delivery of the function

- Respond to queries relating to pay, pensions and benefits

- General provision of sound health and safety practices

- Work closely with HR Director and people management teams

For this role week an HR generalist with at least two years of recently gained experience and working to CIPD level 5 or higher. Exposure to payroll systems and a good knowledge of payroll practices would be highly advantageous, as would good use of general HR and time management systems. This is a fast-paced role that works with colleagues throughout the organisation so a sensitive, proactive and compassionate attitude will be essential.

For further details, including a comprehensive role specification, and to apply, please contact Carly Kellow quoting reference CK7590 ASAP. This is an urgent requirement and this client may consider interim assistance; immediately available candidates are welcome to enquire in addition to those with notice periods to consider.
