We are looking for a Senior Automation Test Engineer to join our Support Chain Information Services (SCIS) team challenged with modernising and transforming the Defence logistics service. The successful candidate will work within the programme to support the automation of testing of the information systems for functions including Inventory Management; Supply Chain Management; Engineering and Asset Management; Asset Tracking & Visibility; Technical Publications; Support Equipment.
Following defined Boeing processes and liaising with the military customer and technical experts, the candidate will be expected to develop automated test scenarios, test cases, test plans and test scripts and also, execute these tests in support of the verification and validation of the solution.
Responsibilities include working collaboratively within an integrated customer and supplier team to jointly deliver integrated industry standard processes ensuring that impacts to the business process is beneficial, common and increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for full testing lifecycle covering activities from Impact assessment, analysis of requirements, preparation of test scripts, test execution, defect management and delivery of testing reports.
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders and business users as the testing SME in order to provide the key considerations for testing, advise on testable requirements and coaching of testing processes.
Performing test automation, planning and reporting
Defining automated acceptance tests that prove that the functionality required
Defining and maintaining the automation tests for applications.
Writing test case, logging defects and test reports.
Liaising with programme team to write test cases, discuss defects and run defect triage meetings.
Perform automated and manual test execution.
Report risks and issues to the Project Manager and the test manager
Day to day tasking of activities for the team members
Responsible for handling multiple projects in a programme,
Daily Reporting of test progress to the projects
Weekly reporting the test activities to the programme,.
Education & Experience:
Ideally qualified to degree level or equivalent in a business discipline or closely related field, or equivalent civilian or military work experience
10 to 12 years of Experience of testing (Test planning, test execution, test estimation, etc.)
Hands-on experience in automation testing within API, windows and web applications
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience of CICD processes
Experience of the following tools:
HP Quality Centre or ALM
Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE
Selenium webdriver with Test NG
SOAP UI
Cucumber
Jenkins
GITHUB/GITLAB
Desirable Experience:
Previous or current experience of working with MoD supply chain application
Testing certification from the BCS (e.g. ISTQB-BCS Certified Tester Intermediate Level) or other equivalent institute
Experience of the following tools:
HP Sprinter
IBM Rational DOORS
Sparx Enterprise Architect
Jmeter
Knowledge of security testing and ability to understand security concepts
Knowledge of Performance testing

Summary pay range: £55,000 - £65,000
