Job description
We are currently looking for an Adaptations Technician to join our team at the Barnet Community Equipment Service Centre based in Park Royal where you will carry out the installation of specialist healthcare equipment and make necessary adaptations to our service users' homes in accordance with the contract.Our job as a healthcare equipment provider is to supply the necessary aids for day-to-day life. We have found that even the simplest of equipment, such as a walker or minor adaptation to the home can make a significant impact in giving people the confidence to live independently. We improve lives every day through the delivery of high-quality equipment.On a day to day basis you will install various types of grab rails including mopstick stair rails and other equipment requiring fixing to walls. You will also be responsible for forming concrete steps and ramps, as well as galvanised metal handrails. You will be involved in the fixed installation of various other community equipment items within our service users' homes and other associated locations such as care homes, hospitals and schools.About you:Experience within a relatable environment and positionConfident in use of hand tools and ability to complete the taskExcellent communication skills and empathetic approachGood attention to detail with a level of speed and efficiencyGeneral experience in carpentry or minor adaptation works will be of benefitKnowledge of building regulations and safe systems of work would be advantageousFull UK driving licence is essential (3 years)You may be required to participate in an on-call rotaMillbrook Healthcare Group are an inclusive and caring employer who understand that not everyone's job needs are the same.
