Fitch Finance is embarking on a Transformation journey to update its policies, processes and procedures across all regions, embracing new technologies and ways of working to drive operational efficiencies, allow for faster more insightful reporting, and to breakdown regional and operational silos. A newly created team is being developed to lead this Transformation, and Fitch Group is seeking an Advanced Excel Analyst to join this exciting new team to enhance the Finance Group's use of Microsoft Excel.
This role reports to the Director of Change and Transformation within the Finance Operations Functions. Although the role is primarily focused on improving the Finance Group's use of Excel, there will be opportunities to learn and be involved in other Finance system implementations, enhancements and process improvements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Streamline existing excel files and processes, ensuring consistency across all offices
• Reduce manual work using advanced formula and macros
• Be an 'Excel helpdesk' for Finance: someone that the team can reach out to with excel related queries, questions and ideas
• Train and organize training for the Finance team in excel improving knowledge across the team
• Standardize the use of Excel across the Finance function
• Work closely with the RPA team to identify opportunities for automation using bots.
Skills & Experience:
- Advanced Excel Skills including Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
- Proven experience working in a business environment - Finance preferred - solving problems with Excel
- Knowledge of SAP systems preferred
- Experience with PowerBI preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
