Job description

GreySpark's Business Consulting Practice is focused on assisting our capital markets clients address key business challenges by delivering tactical or strategic change projects, conducting targeted business reviews, and defining target operating models. As an Analyst Consultant in the Financial Technology space, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with top-tier clients across a range of engagements. You will be expected to learn and understand the key industry drivers including regulatory change and the evolving market structure and be able to articulate how these changes are impacting market participants.

Responsibilities

  • Involvement in all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation to closure
  • Working on business transformation projects or IT change projects
  • Building and developing business cases
  • Gathering and analysing requirements
  • Owning and delivering business and functional requirements
  • Presenting/Communicating insights and findings to client stakeholders
  • Managing stakeholders on different levels and in various business areas

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Capital Markets, Financial Services and/or Consultancy
  • Requirements gathering
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Data-handling skills
  • Familiarity with electronic trading applications, key players, and new entrants (nice-to-have)
  • Familiarity with the front-to-back processing required in Capital Markets businesses (nice-to-have)

Industry knowledge

Experience in one of the following areas would be preferred:

  • Primary and Secondary Markets
  • Asset Classes (Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Futures & Options,
  • Fixed Income, Bonds, Swaps)
  • Front Office, Middle Office
  • Pre-Trade Management, Pre-Trade Analytics, Pre-Trade Risk Controls
  • Post-Trade Management
  • Operational Risk, Credit/Counterparty Risk, Market Risk
  • Client Connectivity, Venue/Exchange Connectivity
  • High-Frequency Trading
  • Order Management Systems (OMS), Execution Management Systems (EMS), Risk Management Systems, Back Office Systems, Settlement Systems
  • Fidessa, ION, ULLink, Calypso, Murex, FIX, Itivity


Qualifications

  • Minimum bachelor degree or equivalent
  • BCS Business Analysis or comparable (nice-to-have)
  • Prince2 or comparable project management methodology experience (nice-to-have)
