What you can expect
You will be part of a three-year Private Bank analyst program whereby you will be supporting the team of Client Advisors covering UK ultra-high net worth clients. At the end of the three-year program, top performing Analysts will have the opportunity to make Associate by participating in an assessment centre. Promotional opportunities within J.P. Morgan are based on our business needs and your performance.
The Analyst will support the advisor team in a variety of investment & relationship management functions, primarily assisting with ongoing portfolio management and advice while also developing skills in acquiring new ultra-high net worth clients, servicing existing ones, explaining strategy and our product offering and managing these important relationships.
The Analyst will support Client Advisors to oversee private client relationships by providing strategic advice based on each client's wealth objectives. Client Advisors provide access to specialist intellectual capital and manage clients' investment portfolios. Client Advisors are also involved in prospecting and acquiring new clients. The Analyst will become comfortable speaking about our entire range of investment management and brokerage products, and will learn to act as the client's trusted adviser.
The Analyst will support the Client Advisor in proposed investment solutions to fulfill clients' needs and objectives in the short, medium and long term through a holistic goals based planning approach. This will allow for continuous learning across equity and fixed income markets and alternative investments including Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Real Estate.
The Analyst will also act as a liaison between the Client Advisors and support functions to assist on execution of various processes, including KYC reviews, trade executions and ad hoc client requests.
Through the collaborative work of the Client Advisors and various solution specialists, the Analyst will be in an environment to learn and demonstrate understanding in wealth planning, lending, and banking concepts whilst adhering to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines and security measures.
The Analyst should expect continuous learning through one-on-one mentorship, learning sessions and ongoing events to grow their professional network.
About You
Candidates must demonstrate an interest and knowledge in financial markets, as well as possess excellent analytical, organisational, attention-to-detail, communication, leadership, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Initiative, enthusiasm and confidence to complete projects are also a must. This role would suit someone who is looking for an entry level position or has some experience in the financial markets.
