Who we're looking for

The successful candidate will have significant experience in the UK Intermediary Market relating specifically to investment solutions for financial advisors. The role will cover the Schroder Investment Solutions (Model Portfolios , Schroder Tactical Portfolios, Schroder Blended Portfolios and Specialist funds).

The successful candidate will have a clear understanding of the retail adviser market ranging from Advice Networks to Platforms and Regulatory Changes that affect the retail adviser market. The role will require a strategic understanding of the need to grow the Schroders offering to financial advisors over the long term.

What you'll do

The primary focus of this role is for the successful candidate to, provide support to and work closely with the Head of Intermediary Solutions at Schroders to grow and develop the Schroder Investment Solutions range and produce a strong and market leading package of advisor communications and continue to develop the business through the delivery of new investment solutions and promotional campaigns.

This will include being completely up to date with the competitive position, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of SIS, undertaking analysis of all sales statistics both on a regular and ad hoc basis and being able to represent the Head of UK Intermediary Solutions when required.

The candidate will also ensure advisers and their clients are informed on their selected investment proposition by providing key updates on performance, portfolio changes and regular quarterly market updates. This will further include managing all enquiries from financial advisers on their investments via the sales team.

It is critical that the successful candidate works closely with the marketing team to ensure financial advisers are provided with the appropriate service proposition through regular communication and that digital engagement (e.g. website) is delivering relevant and timely content. This also applies to delivery of SIS data on external platforms e.g. DD Hub.

What you'll do

• Work closely with the Head of Intermediary Solutions at Schroders to ensure a strong programme of activity and thought-provoking content delivered to financial advisors.
• Manage and respond to all inbound queries from Financial advisers and the sales team that require a response on proposition. These may also be performance queries, data requests.
• Responsible for the delivery of all RFP requests for the distribution team.
• Maintain all data on external Due Diligence platforms to ensure this continually reflects the full proposition and is up to date. Analyse data from external DD platforms to identify potential leads and pass to the sales team.
• Responsible for all competitor research relevant for SIS - be aware of new entrants or changes to competitor products and highlight these to the sales team in addition to maintaining all competitor data.
• Review any 'pitches' lost and identify whether propositional changes should be considered.
• Stay full informed on the Investment Process as well as the positioning and holdings of the MPS and Funds.
• Working with marketing, prepare and maintain high quality marketing material and research for the Investment Solutions business, this includes introductory presentations, quarterly update presentations and ad-hoc presentations. Relevant support will be provided from the Investment Team. This includes ensuring relevant regulatory sign offs
Provide support to the Head of Intermediary Solutions for any specific projects being undertaken through provision of research, attending appropriate meetings, producing any papers required (examples include whitelabelling, MCS, FinTech opportunities)
• Work with Schroders Marketing and the Head of Intermediary Solutions at Schroders to prepare and maintain high quality client materials, this includes quarterly bulletins, Centralised investment proposition documents, Client Guides and Brochures as well as RFP's. Relevant support to be provide from Marketing and Compliance. This includes ensuring relevant regulatory sign offs.
• Work with the Head of Intermediary Solutions at Schroders to manage any requests from Product Development relating to changes on existing propositions, launching new propositions and ad-hoc requests by Product Management.
• Ensure that all CRM systems are maintained accurately in a timely manner with up to date client information

A team player with the ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues across the business and with external parties where relevant. In particular, strong relationships need to be maintained within the immediate UK Intermediary business, SIS Ops and the SIS Portfolio managers.

Maintain and apply up to date strong Investment and Retail market and regulatory knowledge.
