Job Purpose

To take ownership of our financial, HR and other core applications to ensure we have the right technology ecosystem to support our planned growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Take ownership of our core financial & HR systems, managing supplier relationships, system changes & ongoing support
  • Build a detailed understanding of our processes & find opportunities to use technology to improve our efficiency and effectiveness in this area
  • Work with the finance & HR leadership team to agree a rolling, prioritised roadmap of technology-enabled projects to support financial operations
  • Where necessary specify and manage the delivery of change to our existing application set
  • Where necessary manage the selection and implementation of new systems
  • Work with the wider technology team to understand the implications of other projects on core systems and deliver any required changes
  • As part of the tech leadership team develop and deliver our overall technology strategy

General Accountabilities

  • Undertake additional relevant duties which fall under the general scope of the role, as directed by your Manager, raising any issues with capacity so they can be properly managed.
  • Participate in the full year and half year Performance Development Review process as reviewer and reviewee, meeting the standards and timescales required by the Company.
  • At all times ensure that you're understanding and skill level regarding the Company's IT systems are up to date, as applicable to your role. Undertake IT training as required to ensure full and proper use of the available technology.
  • Demonstrate commitment to and align actions with the Company's values: Creative, People-First, Pioneering, Sustainable and Proud.
  • Work within the Company's policies and procedures, governance framework and standards, as detailed on the Company's Intranet.
  • Remain knowledgeable about Group activities, benefiting from all forms of internal communication provided and acting as a positive ambassador for the Company at all times.
  • Use materials and resources effectively and efficiently to minimise waste and always consider the impact of potential actions alongside our Sustainability policies and goals before taking business decisions.

Qualifications/experience/skills

  • Deep knowledge of accounting processes:

  • Expert understanding of financial applications
  • Expert understanding of HR applications
  • Track record in managing core systems through complete life cycle (selection, implementation, support, change)
  • Experience in managing technology change projects both internally and via partners
  • Experience in small to midsize businesses
  • Great stakeholder management, requirements gathering and road mapping skills
  • Good understanding of application hosting, integration, testing and security
  • Experience & desire to retain hands on involvement in application change and testing
  • CCAB Qualified accountant (ICAEW,ACCA,CIMA) (desirable)
  • Understanding of property and investment financial processes (desirable)
  • HR Qualification (Eg CIPD) (desirable)
  • Experience of Access Dimensions, Anaplan, or real estate finance packages (Yardi, MRI, RealPage) (desirable)
  • Experience of scaling start-ups, property development, residential leasing, or property management. (desirable)
