Job description

The Cloud Security Architect will partner with the Head of Architecture and Information Security Officer to lead the development of cloud security architectures and use them to perform risk assessments on new and existing cloud and cloud-hybrid systems.

Responsibilities:

• Design, document, and maintain cloud security architectures and policies for cloud and cloud-hybrid systems, with a focus primarily on the areas listed below:
• Identity and Access Management
• Integration (incl. APIs)
• Encryption, data security, storage, and backup strategies
• Perform risk assessments across a broad range of new and existing cloud and cloud-hybrid systems in accordance with defined cloud security architectures and policies.
• Design and implement cloud security and governance tools (eg CASB)
• Embed with the Architecture team to act as security architecture SME

Essential Experience

• Experience as a Security Architect, having defined security architecture standards, process and strategies for a variety of cloud-based systems (Azure experience required at a minimum)
• Familiarity with compliance & security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
• Proven experience building security reference architecture for all-in cloud deployments and hybrid scenarios
• Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions.
• Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences and in making timely and prudent technical risk decisions.
• Working knowledge of common and industry standard cloud-native/cloud-friendly identity management and authentication mechanisms.
• Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibilities
