Communications Officer - London
Murphy Group are looking to recruit a Communications Officer to assist the Customer Care Manager on a day to day basis working on multiple sites across London, for the water division.
What you will be doing
• Acting as the main point of contact between the project and communication teams
• Working with project teams on site to build relationships with communities impacted by our work and identifying opportunities to support local initiatives in line with our values
• Supporting the client's communications manager to developing internal and external stakeholder plans including communications calendar, key messages, identifying stakeholders, developing methods of engagement.
• In tandem with the client's communications manager, develop and deliver communications materials and content for review and agreement, as agreed with the project leadership and client
• Proactively gathering information and updating relevant comms channels - including digital - with relevant and up-to-date content, including news stories and case studies to be used for internal and external communication
• Work closely with site team to support any project community outreach events management including regular team events
• Planning and delivering local information / engagement events
• Develop and plan proactive community giving programme, e.g. volunteering, school engagement, and STEM activities with any communications needs including collate. ng case studies and success stories
• Support incident comms as needed
• Managing and deliver regular communications channels including newsletters, events, etc
Who we are looking for
• Experience of Customer care and/or Stakeholder engagement is essential.
• Proven track record of building relationships with external and internal stake holders
• Experience working with STW or on water-based projects is desirable
• High attention to detail with a right first-time ethos
• Motivated, organised and diligent
• Full clean driving licence
• Flexibility to travel to multiple site locations with overnight stays
• Computer literacy in Microsoft, Office applications etc.
• Relevant CSCS card
• Full driving license
