- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Inquisitive nature with the desire and creativity to turn facts into compelling stories
- Highly confident in developing solid communication plans

What you can expect
- A flexible working environment - hybrid approach for office and remote working.
- An award winning organisation with a supportive and fully inclusive culture.
- A structured development programme, designed to help you visualise your career progression within FSCS.
- The opportunity to join a newly formed, ambitious communications and stakeholder team.
The Role
As Communications & Stakeholder Business Partner you will be part of a small team of dedicated individuals, whose core mission is to ensure our diverse audiences (from claims customers and general finance consumers through to industry and political stakeholders) are aware of FSCS and have a great understanding of our protection, strategy and key messages.
One side of your role will be partnering with teams and individuals from across FSCS to support them with their external communications. This could include coming up with ideas and drafting LinkedIn blogs for executive members, producing communications plans for high-profile firm failures, and seeking out fantastic stories for the Content team to share across our digital channels.
The other side will be managing the delivery of various initiatives and communications campaigns. Working with the wider Communications division and external partners, you'll take responsibility for scoping and project management of publications, developing campaigns to engage specific audiences (across a variety of channels) and managing external affairs projects with stakeholders such as politicians and/ or industry practitioners.
No two days will be the same in this role, and you'll work with both the Head of Communications and the Head of Stakeholder and Public Affairs flexibly, depending on the team's priorities. To be successful, you will need to be adaptable, creative and able to influence and work with others effectively. You'll be very organised, proactive, an effective planner and able to produce work quickly - to a very high standard. Working autonomously and being able to make decisions will be important too.
You may have a particular specialism, but you'll be passionate about all aspects of communications and stakeholder engagement and happy to work where needed to get the job done.
