About us:

St Christopher's Hospice was first established in 1967 and has been operating for a total of 50+ years. We pride ourselves in being more than 'just a hospice'. By being committed to people - both patients and staff through the constant development of our education and research programmes.

We are based in two locations which includes Sydenham and Orpington and have a community outreach of 1.6 million. Serving the local communities of Lewisham, Lambeth, Southwark, Bromley and Croydon. We have a workforce of around 500+ employees and we are supported by 1000 volunteers.

Your new role:

This role is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual with excellent attention to detail to work closely with our Medical and Nurse Consultants. The ideal candidate will be required to provide a comprehensive and confidential administrative and project support, contributing to the efficient and effective clinical management of the hospice.

This post requires a proactive, flexible and adaptable approach to changing needs and requirements. The position involves working with a number of stakeholders including St Christopher's medical and nurse consultants, junior doctors on placement, national and international visiting healthcare professionals and to be a conduit with members of St Christopher's CARE Team.

To Succeed in this role:

Good level of general education (including English and Maths or high levels of Literacy and Numeracy)
Previous experience in a PA or high-level administrative role
Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
Experience of taking detailed an accurate meeting notes; skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams and Zoom
Experience of designing, developing, modifying and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets
Experience of supporting governance arrangements with a clear understanding of the need to fully comply with external regulations/ requirements in a timely manner
Excellent communication, organisational and presentation skills with a high level of attention to detail
Organised and proactive approach to preparing for scheduled meetings
Able to demonstrate effective practices when working with multi-professional groups
Ability to provide information that is accurate, to a high standard and delivered on time
Approachable, adaptable and flexible
An excellent analytical thinker who is able to work independently to manage and prioritise their own workload accordingly; with the ability to work calmly under pressure towards tight deadlines.
