Salary: £31,500 - £34,500, pro rata to 0.53 FTE of £16,800-£18,400 per anum .53 FTE

Hours: 20 hours per week (Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday)

Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives free from abuse.

About the Service

Solace's North London Rape Crisis offers a range of services to women and girls aged 13 + who are experiencing or have experienced any form of sexual violence in their lives. We offer a safe and non-judgmental space to women who are living, working, or studying across London boroughs of Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Haringey, Barnet, and Enfield.

Our expert team provides helpline support, advocacy (ISVA) support including specialised ISVA for women with complex needs. We also provide one-to-one and group counselling to survivors as well as short-term one-to-one counselling support to survivors' family and friends. It is an inclusive service which takes a holistic approach to supporting recovery and independence; and supports all ages, disabilities, sexualities, gender identities including non-binary, ethnicities, and religions.

The core service is open 9.00am to 5.00pm. However, appointments can be arranged outside of these hours if required and may offer flexibility around working hours.

The Counselling Services Manager will work in partnership with the other NLRC services to provide effective leadership and management of specialist sexual violence counselling services. This role will also manage the Safeguarding Hub and provide line management to the Counselling Services Co-ordinator.

The ideal candidate will have experience or exposure with supporting women affected by sexual violence who have multiple disadvantages and complex needs. Whether you are applying for the qualified or unqualified role, successful applicants will have a clinical background and some experience of supporting in a trauma informed way. You may already have management experience and understand the complexity of trauma on women that have experienced sexual violence.
