Job description

Full-time Cover Teachers required to work in the South-East of London. Applicable applicants will be available for day-to-day, short and long-term work for the commencing immediately in October 2021.

Suitable candidates will be qualified teachers that have QTS or an equivalent overseas qualification and seeking flexible general cover work. Tradewind are particularly keen to hear from teachers located in Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Kent. Having a recognised teaching qualification along with a positive, can do attitude is necessary combined with excellent communication skills and exceptional classroom control and behaviour management. It is essential that applicants have a proven track record in the classroom managing large groups of students and must also be willing to work as part of a team. The job roles include teaching whole classes during the absence of the teacher, responding to questions, assisting pupils in undertaking set activities and maintaining order. Work is set for the class being covered. Your role is to manage the class to the best of your ability in terms of subject content and following the school's behaviour policy where required. At the end of your assignment you will report back on the behaviour of pupils during the class, and any issues arising to the cover manager.
