As a pioneer in online advertising and campaign technology, Connexity is constantly iterating on products, solving problems for retailers, and building interest in new solutions.We have recently been acquired by Taboola to make the first Open-Web Source for Publishers connecting editorial content to product recommendations, where readers can easily buy products related to stories they are reading.Read more about how we're changing the game here!Due to our explosive growth, we are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Team Lead to lead a variety of large scale data challenges and build pipelines that can analyse the torrent of data. Our ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment, managing multiple, complex projects and teams with a positive, collaborative attitude.Responsibilities:Providing leadership for a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of support and collaboration in the team and across the broader product-engineering organisationHands-on participation in engineering and data science tasks such as coding, peer reviews, building automation pipelines and data analysis.Working closely with product team and engineering teams to discuss and agree on solutions.Managing complex data pipelines using the state-of-the-art data engineering technologies and tooling.Design, build, and maintain our Data Platform in the Google Cloud, from high-volume data ingestion, through BigQuery ingestion and Airflow orchestration.Take personal ownership of the data infrastructure and ensure that all work meets user and commercial objectives.Manage a team of Data Engineers while remaining hands-on with the development process.Overseeing the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data.RequirementsExperience managing a cloud-based, enterprise platform running on Google Cloud (preferable) or other cloud service providers.Hands-on experience with processing large datasets at scale (we use Airflow, BigQuery and Dataflow, PubSub, Apache Druid).You have a top-class degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.Experience setting up and tuning monitoring to efficiently detect and predict issues.You're recognised by your peers as talented, driven, and fun to work with!BenefitsVoted "Best Places to Work," our culture is driven by self-starters, team players, and visionaries.
