Job Description:

The Data technical marketing role will champion the efficient execution of marketing strategy, tactics and implementation for Data solutions in the Schlumberger 'Digital & Integration' portfolio.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support the Head of Marketing in the development and execution of Data related strategy
  • Support the Head of Marketing in the development of data solution positioning for target markets.
  • Work with Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing team to drive mindshare, market awareness and measurable market interest in Schlumberger data solutions for target markets.
  • Support the Head of Marketing and works closely with the Marketing Intelligence team, Products Marketing team and the global field organization to capture and define description of market players and dynamics in target markets.
  • Supports senior stakeholders as required to evaluate potential M&A opportunities.
  • Work with the technology organization and Marketing Communications to effectively showcase key strategic partner relationships that deliver solutions with significant business impact. Promotes these relationships externally to customers as part of a cohesive GTM and also champion the relationship internally.
  • Drive ongoing awareness and promotion of differentiated services and solutions offered via the INNOVATION FACTORI network. Work with key stakeholders to define sub-campaigns to promote key capabilities and support development of case studies related to data solutions.
  • Act as an advocate for commercial data management technologies across both the customer and internal Schlumberger community.
  • Work as an advocate and support the ongoing development and reskilling of Schlumberger employees to embrace new data and data-driven/analytics and AI skillsets.
  • Interaction with all levels of client personnel at industry events and conferences.
  • Works primarily with internal Product Managers, Sales & Commercial and the wider Marketing team.

Qualifications and competencies:
  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science (and/or Geosciences / Petroleum Engineering).
  • Marketing qualification or MBA also preferable.
  • 2-3 years of marketing or sales experience in a modern data business with experience in information management, big data, data driven workflows at scale, data analytics and visualization & modern data platform technologies
  • 5+ years of commercial/technical experience in information management and data intensive industries.
  • Will need to visit other Schlumberger & Customer locations - including industry tradeshows - as required to perform job.
  • Must be able to travel - Domestic and international, as required
