We have a fantastic opportunity for skilled Technicians to join our Asset Management Depot Facilities Team. We have vacancies at Ilford Depot and Norwich Crown Point Depot.

The Role

As a Depot Facilities Technician you will be responsible for providing an outstanding contribution to the Asset Management Department by undertaking both planned maintenance and reactive repairs as required.

You will also be responsible for providing maintenance and repair of the vast amount of equipment that has been purchased in support of our new train fleet.

Your duties will involve provision of planned preventative maintenance, and reactive repairs to building services and fixed plant and equipment such as Cet, fuel, Adblue and tanking facilities across G.A depots and sidings.

A good understanding of PLC operated systems will be required, and the successful colleague will be expected to both maintain and repair bogie drops, cranes, compressors, ACU's and LEV systems.

The above role is based on a 35 hour 5 day week, but you will also be required to do out of hours on call cover, as part of an existing roster operating out of either Norwich or Ilford Depots.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a multi skilled technician with time served electrical qualifications to NVQ Level 3, or equivalent, and preferably with experience working in a rail environment. Ideally the candidates will also hold City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, but this is not a requirement.

Having your own means of transport is essential to this role, to enable you to get to the various locations at out of hours, as part of the on-call provision.
