We are currently recruiting for two Digital Producers to join the New Media team based at the Science Museum in London on a fixed term basis until the end of December 2022. This role supports the Science Museum Group's public offer through its exhibitions programme.

As a Digital Producer you will be responsible for project managing the creative and technical development of AV and digital experiences within one of two major exhibitions which open at the Science Museum in the Autumn of 2022. You will be managing the creative production of AV and digital experiences and software within the exhibitions, managing the installation of the digital exhibits and AV (including hardware) to time and budget, ensuring a high-quality result. You will work collaboratively with content and interpretation teams ensuring stakeholders including the project leader, exhibition team, gallery services are included at key stages.

Your responsibilities will include, where required, managing the specification and procurement of the appropriate hardware for the exhibitions ensuring that museum standards are adhered to and that all purchasing is in line with SMG procurement policies. You will be commissioning digital exhibits, films, audio, and other elements of the digital interpretation, coordinating tenders and managing subsequent contracts.

Joining us you will have an excellent understanding of audience needs and digital interpretation of object-centred exhibitions. You will be proactive and ambitious with an appetite to inspire change in the way we deliver our large, collection-led galleries. You will have experience of working on large projects and developing AV and software for use in public spaces. Crucially you will possess a proven ability to manage and deliver projects on time, to budget and to high quality, delivering to fixed deadlines within a pressured environment.

The Science Museum Group (SMG) is here to inspire futures. As the world's leading group of science museums, we share our unparalleled collection spanning science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine with over five million visitors each year. Joining us as an employee, you will have the opportunity to develop your career in a world-class museum group. We know work/life balance and wellbeing is crucial to our colleagues, so we currently offer up to 25 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays; BUPA medical and dental care; employee assistance programme; enhanced contributory pension; enhanced occupational sick, maternity, paternity and adoption leave and career breaks.

'Open for All' is one of the Science Museum Group's five core values and sets out our important aspiration to be a place for everyone. As a national museum group, we have an ability to reach a wide and diverse population of audiences, colleagues and partners through our geography and scale.
