Job description
As our Director of Mass Fundraising, Engagement and Activation, you'll own the leadership and delivery of mass fundraising income and lead the strategy, planning and execution of our marketing communications and engagement across acquisition and retention.
In this strategic leadership role, you'll develop and deliver insight-led engagement strategies, build high performing teams, and take accountability for superior customer experiences across all brand touchpoints.
Reporting into the Executive Director of Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement, you'll deliver KPIs and financial targets for mass fundraising, legacy marketing, and other income-generating products across fundraising and retail/commercial. Accountable for the development and delivery of brand and health marketing campaigns, you'll also deliver brand and/or health marketing objectives and drive achievement of non-financial KPIs across our mission and money portfolio.
You'll role model our values, provide effective and authentic leadership, and grow colleague engagement. Engaging teams to provide clear direction, motivation, and coaching, you'll enable them to perform at their best and drive the delivery of the Directorate's strategic plans.
Please note this is a dual location role, with your working time split between your Home and our London Office. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.
About the team
The Engagement and Activation team comprises of 60+ marketing and fundraising professionals across a variety of specialisms including mass fundraising, legacy marketing, brand and health engagement, retail marketing, social and digital activation, and creative.
About you
With senior leadership experience in a complex organisation, you'll be accustomed to operating and influencing at board level and leading large teams. You'll have deep and demonstrable understanding of customer behaviours and how to influence them and knowledge of fundraising and commercial approaches to driving income.
You'll bring rounded marketing experience across multiple marketing disciplines with significant experience of leading marcomms campaigns, delivering transformation and change, strategic programmes, and complex projects, on time and budget.
With excellent communication, relationship building and influencing skills, including with stakeholders at the highest levels, you'll also have strategic analytical skills and intellectual flexibility, with the ability to embrace, and lead through, ambiguity.

Interview process
1st interviews to be held on 6th and 7th January via Microsoft Teams.
2nd interviews to be held on 13th January, preferably face to face and will include a panel interview and 15 minute presentation.
