Job description

Reporting to the Content Director, the Editorial Project Manager is an essential member of a team of digital media professionals tasked with developing, growing, and managing Elsevier's digital channels and video content for external and internal audiences. The successful candidate will have a background in a communications or marketing related role, alongside strong project management capabilities, able to ensure that that campaign teams stay true to campaign objectives and deadlines. They will have a good grasp of what makes an effective communications campaign and will understand how to implement it. They will work closely with the Content Manager to facilitate this and be comfortable managing matrixed teams to ensure delivery of objectives. On-Time Delivery of Integrated Communications Campaigns: Coordination across Global Communication to develop an annual calendar integrating campaigns and ad-hoc editorial programs. Agree and align schedules for the development and production of communications assets. Coordinate and track internal and external stakeholders to deliver campaign components on time to meet agreed launch schedule. Management of editorial calendar: Co-ordinate with Content Director and broader Global Communications team to schedule internal and external communications assets, with tracking of actions and deadlines to ensure delivery. Documentation & communication of the integrated campaign process: Working with key stakeholders across Global Communications, other departments, and agencies, document processes for integrated campaign development and delivery, aligning lead times for the development of different editorial assets (articles, video, messages, whitepapers, webinars, etc.). Drive efficiency of campaign delivery: Identify ways to create efficiencies in processes and workflows to streamline timeline from campaign concept to campaign launch. Identification & Implementation of tools to streamline integrated editorial workflow: Either using existing or new systems/tools, implement standard workflows to facilitate the development and launch of campaigns and provide project status transparency across Global Communications. Train users on systems/ tools and enforce consistent usage
