Our working approach is firmly grounded in shared values of integrity, excellence and collaboration.We are seeking a Resource Manager or Junior Resource Manager to manage day to day resourcing for Compass Lexecon EMEA. The Resource Management team is responsible for ensuring our cases are resourced with the right people, the best skills, in the right locations all the time.The position reports into the Resource Management Director, and works closely with our senior leadership team, case managers and internal functions. We have a culture of respect and collaboration and so strong people skills are required.You will have a central role in ensuring the effective utilisation of our economic consultants. This is a hands-on position where you will strive to deliver operational excellence whilst supporting the business strategy, agility agenda and mobility of our people. The team forms a new and growing function for Compass Lexecon. We are looking for somebody who is looking to take the next step in their career, moving into a management position. This is a hands-on role where the successful candidate will thrive with a can-do, positive attitude.Key responsibilities will include:Along with the rest of the team and the case managers, managing the resourcing of our cases, ensuring the correct mix of experience, technical knowledge and local expertise.Developing relationships with multiple stakeholders, working with the office heads and case managers to deliver the best solutions, managing complex competing priorities. Attend regular regional and office resourcing calls and look for ways to streamline the data used in these meetings.Monitoring utilisation levels and taking into account resourcing related development points for individuals, balancing these needs against the resourcing needs of cases.Maintaining accuracy within the Resource Management system (Retain).Ensuring office heads and EMEA management are regularly updated with appropriate metrics including forecasting utilisation reports. Discussing high and low forecasted utilisation proactively to assist with case management and planning.Management of an audit log of all allocation changes. Look for ways to report on diversity and equity metrics regarding allocation decisions.Working with the team to ensure the resource request tracker is up to date and well-advertised.With the team, maintaining the Consultant Directory, ensuring CVs and Skills Profiles are up to date.Delegating to and supervising more junior team members. Taking responsibility for the shared development of the Resource Management team.Maintaining best practice procedures. Constantly looking for ways to improve the data, technology and practices used in line with our culture of driving efficiency and excellence.Experience and skills required:Several years of experience within a resourcing role, preferably gained within a professional services environment.Through attention to detail and excellent time-management skills, ability to provide an accurate and efficient service under the pressure of deadlines.Excellent interpersonal skills with strong written and oral communication. Ability to listen to and understand the needs unique to Compass Lexecon.Embraces and exemplifies the company culture acting with integrity and respect at all times.Ability to adopt a proactive and flexible approach to problem solving.Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Ability to work with confidential materials and always maintain complete discretion.Working knowledge with resourcing systems, experience of working with Retain is desirable but not required.European Languages are desirable, and some travel may be required.Compass Lexecon is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
