Engineering Shift Technician

Job description

Undertake routine and essential planned preventative maintenance tasks across LV distribution systems, associated plant and equipment and HVAC mechanical cooling and heating systems. Undertake isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
Investigate faults, identify root causes of faults and prepare accurate and timely reports on plant and equipment failures.
Ensure shift-based personnel and contractors undertake works in accordance with safe working practices, quality standards and conform to best practice
Develop a comprehensive understanding of the building layout, function and complexities through developed practices through continuous assessment, staff training and personal development.
Assisting in the co-ordination of staff & contractors in response to scheduled works in conjunction with airport operations.
Ensure health and safety legislative requirements are met.
Ensure any hazards or unsafe acts are reported through the Accident and Safety reporting systems, any unsafe acts that are witnessed are challenged immediately.
To assist with various ad hoc duties as required.To undertake any training required as relevant to job role
