About The Role
Pristine London Construction Group has an exciting opportunity for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join our team in London. This is a great opportunity for an individual to join our fast-growing company.
Please note for the role you must have previous experience working on build projects.
Role Purpose
* A track record in managing and controlling all costs relating to building projects, from initial tender to final result.
* To minimise project costs and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.
* Experience of project management and close liaison with the delivery team.
* For our projects they will be managing key delivery sub-contracts with day-to-day duties including completion of subcontract orders, monthly valuations, cost reporting, and variation assessments whilst monitoring progress on site.
* There will also be an expectation that the individual develops and works with the overall project forecast to control costs and provide reliable forecasts to report on to the business.
What you'll be doing
As a Quantity Surveyor you will:
* Have a good knowledge of the overall construction process.
* Be confident in order procurement, contract administration and cost value reconciliation.
* Have confidence working with projects up to the value of £5m.
* Report into the Managing Surveyor.
As an Estimator you will:
* Comfortable appraising tender drawings, information, and specifications.
* Be confident in pricing and estimating works content
* Prepare tender prelims in conjunction with the employers' requirements and delivery team.
* Be confident pricing tender methodology within programme requirements.
* Represent the company during negotiation with third parties/clients.
Analytical Thinking & Decision Making
Procure information and systematically check data;
Cost Engineering
Prepare Activity Schedules, Resource Schedules & analyse tender documentation.
Planning
Review and understand complex contracts and programmes.
Assist with the preparation of delay and disruption programmes/ reports where applicable.
Project Management
Monitor subcontract activities, measure and respond appropriately.
Analyse commercial progress and communicate with the senior project team.
Manage commercial aspects with clients and stakeholders.
Procurement
Prepare, manage, and deliver the procurement process.
Prepare procurement schedules and drive procurement strategy.
Commercial Management
Assist in the control of costs, maximising value, minimising future liabilities, and maintaining the required standard of quality and safety.
Prepare, submit, and negotiate loss and expense when required.
Prepare Internal reports, establish commercial progress, and prepare financial reconciliation for approval.
Salary
£45,000 - £60,000 per annum. Plus annual leave and benefits
