Job description

This is a comprehensive community school that provides a caring, supportive, and safe environment for students to learn, grow and develop in. The governors and staff share a passionate commitment to meeting the varied individual needs of all students, to ensure they leave the school with the best possible academic qualifications. Staff want pupils to enjoy every aspect of their learning and they want them to develop as individuals, so that they leave as confident and socially responsible young people who are well equipped to contribute to society and enjoy success in whichever field they choose for themselves.

Pupils at this school are supported and challenged to do their best by everyone, through the setting of high expectations in behaviour, attitude to learning and community responsibility. The school has fantastic, modern well-equipped facilities.

Strong partnerships between parents and school staff have a positive impact on a child's progress and helps them to feel good about school and their education. By working together, parents and staff can ensure all students enjoy their time at school, make excellent progress and leave with the necessary skills and attitudes to lead successful and fulfilling lives.

As Examinations Officer, you will liaise with appropriate awarding bodies and academic staff regarding registrations, access arrangements, results and certificates. You'll take responsibility for the coordination of invigilators, examination timetables and the storage, distribution, collection and submission of exam papers.

We are looking for an individual who ideally has had previous experience of working in an examinations role, and who has experience of working with and complying with centrally established procedures and externally imposed regulations. Able to communicate effectively at all levels, you will demonstrate the ability to use initiative, organise and prioritise and demonstrate, through experience, education and training, the ability to understand and carry out administrative functions in a complex environment. You'll need to have excellent skills in numeracy, communication and IT, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email, and be able to work effectively under pressure. Experience of supervising the work of others is desirable, but not essential.

Actual Salary Range: £27,978 - £31,557 available to a suitably qualified candidate

Hours: 36 hours per week x 52 weeks per year
