Job description

Following a year of significant growth, our client who is a large Brokerage are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in the City of London. This is an exciting role with lots of progression where no 2 days are the same. As such the role is broad and would suit someone who likes a challenge and to learn from other senior colleagues in this friendly team. This role would suit a Finalist or Newly qualified Accountant with strong financial accounting experience.

• The primary remit of the role will assist with the day to day requirements of the Finance department, predominantly financial control and some FP&A.
• The candidate must have the relevant skill set and be prepared to contribute in all areas within the finance function. Working as part of a team to ensure that all reporting deadlines are met on a timely and accurate basis.
• This would interest a highly driven individual with a demonstrated can-do attitude and "hands-on" approach to work. An excellent eye for detail combined with strong communication skills is critical for the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and Finance Board pack
• Preparation of monthly Consolidation forms for Group reporting
• Assist in the preparation of the annual Financial Statements and associated audit documentation
• Preparation of quarterly Finrep/VAT returns and annual corporation tax returns
• Support the Finance Manager with internal and external reporting requirements

General:

• Production of daily revenue report
• Preparation of weekly/monthly Management Information
• Preparation and oversight of key month-end reconciliations
• Review of sales and purchase ledger transactions
• Support and provide cover for the accounts payable / receivable function where required
• Support in ad hoc projects as deemed appropriate

Experience / Skills Required:

• Qualified Accountant or Finalist (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Financial control accounting experience
• Tax and technical accounting experience (desired)
• Strong excel / modelling skills
• Great plains and Management reporter experience Microsoft Dynamics GP (desired)
• Team player with ability to work in a friendly close-knit environment
