Job DescriptionVertex PharmaceuticalsSenior Manager - Financial Systems & OperationsGeneral/Position SummaryThis position will lead the technical support for the International Finance organization, including project management oversight, alignment with key related functions (primarily our IT department ) and leading any change management process. Lead the International finance reporting suite (Hyperion and Power BI) and management of consolidated P&L reporting.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesDrive the Program Management of International Finance process improvement projects, to maintain a continuous improvement mindset and promote strong communication, sharing of best practices and efficient processes. Activities including (but not limited to):Works closely with other members of the CFO organization to identify and help drive opportunities to improve processes across the global finance organization.Management and coordinate project timelines and reporting cadence across International operations.Ensures alignment across supporting functions and internal finance resourcing availabilityManage and maintain our reporting suite, including Dimensions, Tables and Relationships (Hyperion and Power BI)Create, manage and maintain various models across Revenue and OPEX (3PL, T&E, etc)Assists with the financial planning process for responsible functions (budget, forecast, long-range plan) to provide insightful and influential forward-looking direction, to develop key scenarios, and to identify opportunities and risks/uncertainties with potential mitigation plans.Manage the International Reporting suite with a view to improve the value assessment and deliver insight to our business partners through greater visualization and analytics in Power BI and Hyperion.Required EducationProfessional qualification or Bachelors Degree in Finance or AccountingRequired ExperienceRequires extensive years of relevant financial experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Knowledge/SkillsStrong analytical skill and ability to work with large amounts of data with an ability to create ad hoc reports or analytics independently.Strong expertise with Excel and strong PowerPoint skills; Experience with Hyperion or another multidimensional database; experience with Power Bi or other business intelligence and visualization tools a plus.Ability to solve problems and think creatively - capacity to provide pragmatic solutions and have the drive and leadership to implement ideas through to successful conclusion.Strong business acumen, judgment and professionalism required.
