Job description

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced FP&A analyst capable of progressing a high profile project with little direct supervision required. The project's initial phase is to increase the level of granularity of GM data reported from newly acquired business' T&M and billing system up to Group standards. The second phase is to ensure the continued integrity of the Divisional GM data analysis during the transition onto the Group T&M and billing system. The project has a hard stop date of by 31st March!

Project deliverables:

  • Integrating a newly acquired business into the Group's current management reporting standards
  • Increasing the granularity of GM data produced from their current T&M / ERP system by mapping location/project/resource information
  • Creating a historic data set (7 months YTD) to the required level of detail, where necessary working with the business to backfill missing historic dimension detail on a materially accurate basis.
  • Reconcile between historic GM reports and new detailed GM reports on a month by month basis and resolve any discrepancies
  • Map the GM data from the T&M / ERP system into the Accounting Software on a YTD basis ensuring it reconciles.
  • Manage, monitor and reconcile the GM output during cut-over from old T&E / ERP onto the Group T&E / ERP system. Ensuring all discrepancies are resolved, and adjusting mapping as required so integrity and consistency of GM reporting is achieved for on-going projects and comparability of reporting of new projects to equivalent historic projects.
  • Create (Excel based) management reporting packs and templates for the new Division mirroring the current reporting format of existing Divisions.
  • Collaborating with management accountants to ensure accuracy and timeliness of GM data production once system cut-over has been implemented
  • Document reporting design as appropriate, noting any Division specific variance to other Group Divisional process, and train out to the FP&A and MI team.

We want to hear from people with:

  • Ability to show initiative and work independently to resolve problems and produce results
  • Confident handling and manipulation of large sets of data
