Our Investment teams are grouped under: Equities, Fixed Income, Multi-Assets and Alternatives.Overview of the roleYou will work as part of the Front Office Controls & Governance team. The focus of this team is to support the Investment Management Leadership team in managing operational risk within the Front Office and maintaining a robust control framework. The team is structured to do control operation and enhancement as well as reporting and governance.As a Front Office Controls Analyst, you will be required to manage or mitigate operational risk by operating and continually developing and/or improving Front Office controls while also monitoring and reporting on their effectiveness. You will also be required to interact with other teams across the firm to create or improve the design or operation of controls executed by other teams, e.g. Operations, Technology, where they impact the Investment Management risk profile.The role would be suited to an individual with a comprehensive understanding of asset management and related underlying operations and is able to switch between looking at the overall risk picture and deep dive into the details of a specific control. The ideal candidate would possess the technical skills to manipulate and interrogate large volumes of portfolio data, can proactively analyse and interpret data whilst being comfortable in presenting findings to management and clients.The candidate understands the operational landscape of an asset management firm and the underlying multiple asset classes. Experience with and knowledge of side-by-side conflicts of interest risks and related controls will be a strong positive. Knowledge of order management systems, execution platforms, the trade life cycle and execution management / strategies would be beneficial, as would an understanding of portfolio metrics such as turnover / AUM and performance.Duties and responsibilitiesYou will:Main responsibilities will be design and operation of the suite of side-by-side control design and operation.
