Exciting fundraising role at Heritage of London Trust

We have a new vacancy for a Fundraising Officer to play a key role in our team at Heritage of London Trust (HOLT). This is an exciting position, with responsibility for delivering excellent stewardship to individual donors, supporting corporate partnerships and charitable trusts and assisting with wider fundraising activities.

Heritage of London Trust is London's independent heritage charity, set up in 1980 by the GLC to rescue and restore historic buildings and monuments across the city. We work in every London borough, supporting local communities and inspiring young people through our education programme Proud Places. We have a lively and collaborative team and this is a great time to join us as we develop our VIP donors and Patrons programme. You will help organise and manage our stylish VIP events as well as liaise with our wide network of donors.

Experience in fundraising, plus evidence of organisational skills, thoroughness and dedication to detail are all essential. We welcome applicants who can demonstrate transferrable skills. If you have relevant work experience, are organised and have excellent verbal and written skills we would love to hear from you.

  1. Ensure that all donations received are input into the fundraising database.
  2. Manage the donations process including online donations, sending updates for Patrons' renewals and monitoring success.
  3. Liaise with the Treasurer in reconciling donations recorded and updating records.
  4. Manage administration of Gift Aid.

2. Stewardship

  1. Build relationships with donors to help raise funds.
  2. Correspond with donors through post, telephone and via email and website.

  5. Collate information, records and reports for donors on the impact of their donation.
  6. Ensure all projects and marketing materials provide appropriate and accurate donor recognition.
  7. Maintain records of legacy pledges.
  8. Keep up to date with all fundraising and data processing and GDPR regulations.

3. Events

  1. Help manage and deliver high quality VIP and Patrons' events, co-ordinating logistics, visits and invitations.
  2. Help with project launches and other HOLT events where appropriate.

Person specification:
