Global Head of IT Security is required by vibrant and extremely prestigious financial services organisation with offices in the City of London (hybrid working). As the Global Head of IT Security, you will manage and develop a team who are responsible for all IT Security matters across the entire estate, in all geographies and regions. Your team is responsible for the effective design, implementation, operation and control of security systems and processes to protect our business.
You will be responsible for ensuring that first line controls are operating effectively and are also compliant with policy set out by second line functions.

In your role as Global Head of IT Security, you will redefine how the IT Security function is currently organised and operates to ensure effective delivery of security services globally.
Ideally you will have demonstrable experience in building and leading an IT Security function in a global financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

. Lead the Global IT Security function, optimising its performance through effective team organisation and management.
. Promote and drive a culture of security across the entire IT organisation by leading a team of IT Security experts.
. Provide direction and ultimate authority on all IT security matters.
. Define and operate all security controls (process & tools) to safeguard the security (integrity, confidentiality and availability) of all IT Systems in line with the expectations of a top tier global financial institution.
. Propose new security systems and standards to improve the overall security posture to meet the challenges of an evolving threat landscape.
. Oversee and influence security design of all IT systems, assess security of systems against defined policy and standards and document and track non-compliance.
. Manage relationships and performance of outsourced security providers, ensuring seamless integration with the wider security and IT organisation.

Key Requirements:

. Professional security management certification or equivalent such a
. 10 + years working as a Head of IT Security role leading a global team in the Financial Services sector.
. Experience managing and overseeing outsourced security functions.
. Experience leading security teams who are responsible for detection and response of security incidents.
. Strong technical skills especially around IT Security tools.
. Experience leading security teams who are responsible for security operations and security toolsets and technologies such as SIEM, PIM, PAM, Endpoint Protection, EDR, IPS/IDS, MFA, Encryption, Next Gen Firewalls.
. Strong knowledge of operational security management across multiple platform environments.
