Head of Corporate Accounting- Closed Ended Funds (equity/debt)

Job description

The role currently doesn't exist in the firm. So this is a key growth hire for the CFO to maintain and build a robust framework for all of the corporate reporting. If you are a qualified accountant with extensive corporate accounting experience from a closed ended fund firm, and have experience of building the key data sets required for the firm to be able to grow and scale this could be an interesting opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

Set out and deliver the strategy for improvement to the existing reporting- financial reporting, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting and regulatory requirements.

Build cash flow models that will allow the fund to capture the key data and allow it make better decisions based off the information you have collated and presented.

The firm has entities in London, Lux, Cayman to name a few and the strategy for managing and reporting on these and the set up for new entities will sit with you.

Setting up KPI dashboards, liquidity management, financial statements and reporting, involvement with managing the audits of these entities.

The role will be hands on but will grow with the firm and team management and recruitment will be important in the future.

Core skills required:

• Qualified Accountant
• Reporting - external and internal to board level
• Designing processes with longer term and scalable benefits
• Financial control and management
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Experience of building relationships internally and with external advisors
• Policy drafting

You will be someone with 10+ years of experience in corporate accounting within Private equity, Real Estate or Debt funds broader asset management will be considered. This role could be on a part time basis if required, with a minimum of 3 days a week.
