Job description

Charity People have partnered with a leading NGO based in London helping them to recruit a Head of Finance. You will be reporting to the CFO, working closely with the leadership team managing a team of three in Finance.Candidates applying for this role must have very strong experience producing accounts according to Charity SORP and must have very strong experience in donor reporting (e.

g. USAID, DFID, EU grants etc.).Candidates applying for this role must be Qualified Accountants holding a recognised Finance qualifications (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA). You will be required to come into London twice a week and the salary offered is circa 55,000 per annum.

The main duties and responsibilities are:- Provide robust and expert financial support and advice to the CFO and board- Lead on financial strategy- Create financial models to assist the organisation in managing financial sustainability- Lead on monitoring and managing the annual budget delivery plan- Lead the statutory accounts process according to Charity SORP- Monitor donor grant pipeline to ensure future funding grants are met- Oversee donor financial reporting and compliance - Lead and manage the Finance teamCandidates applying for this role must have the following skills and experience:- Experience working for a Charity and preparing accounts according to Charity SORP- Very strong in Institutional don or reporting- Should be able to work within a small close-knit team and be very hands on- Should have very strong Excel skills (Vlookups, Pivot tables, Sumifs, spreadsheets etc)- Have the ability to look beyond numbers and be commercially minded - Proactive, problem-solving ability and have strong interpersonal skills- Worked within the Finance and Audit Committee - Experience working and advising the CEO, SMT and Trustee Board- Must hold recognised CCAB qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA) The closing date for this role is 13th December, 2021First stage will be held w\/c 20th December, 2021If you have the necessary skills and experience, please apply with a copy of your CV.
