The Role:

The Private Banking Head of Operations will ensure that the operations department provides an efficient and professional service to its private clients, account officers, internal and external contacts, other group offices and branches with regards to the daily duties of the two clerks under supervision.

The Head of Operations will co-ordinate London Branch Audit points and ensure that points are closed within deadline and will act as the co-ordinator for the Group's Audit points (Internal, External & Regulatory) ensuring overdue points are kept to a minimum for the Private Bank.

The Private Banks Head of Operations will ensure robust oversight of outsourced operational functions and will be tasked with the supervision and review of operational activities outsourced externally and internally

Functional responsibility for other operational tasks in the Private Banks London branch including regulatory reporting, ensuring the correct classification of the Private Banks private clients' tax status, managing the completion of annual and other tax reports including FATCA and CRS.

The Head of Operations will run the department that also is responsible for the following:

• Inputting of all client payment instruction requests for Swifts and Bank cheques and will process daily clearing for cheques and direct debits of the Private Bank
• Ordering and distribution of cash to the Private Banks private clients and clients
• Filing all general and payment correspondence for the private bank and franking and posting of mail
• Opening, updating and closing of the Private Bank's private clients' accounts
• Verification of signing authorities and indemnities for all transactions over clients' accounts
• Production of adhoc and monthly data reports from the database for Compliance purposes
• Production and preparation for mailing of the daily, monthly, quarterly statements, portfolios and advices
• Retrieval of statements or portfolio updates on request from private clients and account officers of the Private Bank.
• Control and archiving of all Private Client account documentation files and correspondence filing

The Candidate:

7-10 years' experience in a similar Head of Operations or Head of Client Services role within Wealth Management or Private Banking.

Experience/knowledge of managing and co-ordinating internal, external, regulatory audits.

Experience and knowledge of client tax classification, FATCA and CRS annual returns and other tax reporting.

Experience of working in a Group or branch environment is preferable.
