The Native Apps Domain focuses on native mobile applications as a channel for bringing jobs in front of candidates. We aim at transforming the jobseekers' experience, enabling many millions of people around the globe to take the next step in their career having Stepstone as a trusted companion who understands their needs and brings them the best job opportunities, even in areas they never thought of.
We are looking for a Head of Product who will lead the product function in this area. This is an established an domain at Stepstone, with a platform powering more than 40 brands and an important channel for reaching candidates.
We are looking for a product leader able to act as a thought leaders and vision leader as well as aligning and motivating teams on a journey to take our current product to the next leve.
You will be responsible for connecting consumer insights with Stepstone's product strategy and capabilities in this area. Deep understanding and empathy with the consumer will be paramount, but so will be data and ability to leverage specific features of the mobile apps channel.
Challenging the status quo requires operating in dynamic environment tuned to maximise the pace of learning. As such, you will be helping teams to find the best way to approach opportunities, experiment quick and scale fast. Working in collaboration with the Domain Engineering Manager, your enthusiasm will be fuelling an outcome driven culture, empowering teams to deliver outstanding results through cascading OKRs.
An advocate for the Native Apps, your will be at the forefront of inspiring teams and celebrating successes.

What will this role look like on a day-to-day basis?
Owns the product vision for Stepstone's Native Apps domain.
Leads a team of 3-4 Product Managers who will be working in this domain. Hires and top talent, coaches high performance teams.
Owns the discovery of strategic opportunities. Enables and empowers Product Teams to own product discovery and delivery.
Understands the overall product strategy of the company, connects it to the Native Apps domain goals and creates alignment with relevant stakeholders. Comprehensive, in depth understanding of value creation in the overall Stepstone. Ensures that value creation mechanisms are understood across the domain at the appropriate level.
Works with the Domain Engineering Manager to support the teams to deliver using Agile at scale techniques where needed ensuring teams are self-organising to deliver outcomes, collaborating effectively and promoting team and Engineering health throughout the domain.
Enthusiastically communicates achievements of the domain and acts as an evangelist for Stepstone's native applications.
Some skills you might have:
We know looking for a new job can be scary, and sometimes the list of skills you are asked for can seem exhaustive. Below are a few of the skills we look for, but please do not be put off applying if you do not have every single one of them!

  • 5+ years of experience leading product development in fast paced environments - experience in start-ups or intrapreneurial environments is a plus.
  • Track-record of having taken a product of reasonable complexity from idea to launch and scaling. Experience building a product vision connected to business outcomes, fluency in product strategy discussions, ability to develop a system level understanding of business and product ecosystems.
  • 3+ years as a people manager and at least 1-2 reports. Proven experience hiring and developing talent and building strong product teams.
  • 3+ years of experience working closely with user research and UX teams to understand users in a B2C environment and formulate core hypothesis
  • Good analytical skills, ability to work effectively with analysts and data scientists.
  • Familiarity with native mobile applications is a plus. Ability to rapidly understand this space.
  • Great communicator at all levels (including c suite)
  • Able to work with architects, Engineering Director and Domain Engineering Manager to create a 2-3 year vision for the platform.
