Do you want to bring your creative skills to life?If so, this could be the role for you.The Art and Design section at Kingston College is the largest section in the school with approximately 450 individual learners. We have around 20 permanent and sessional staff in this section who deliver a range of full time courses that span Level 1 to Level 6 (degree).As an active member of the School Management Group (SMG), you will be responsible for effectively applying College procedures such as; target setting, progress review calendars, and for ensuring all curriculum delivery is of high quality. You will drive growth and manage changes to the curriculum as required, ensuring full compliance with funding body regulations, and act as a Safeguarding Officer for the school, specifically at the Creative Industries Centre site.About YouBe educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject.Have or be working towards a management qualification.Hold a teaching qualification and be recognised as an effective teacher.Have a proven track record of improving and managing a high-quality curriculum.Have sound knowledge of the curriculum offered in the Art & Design section and a firm grasp of current and impending national changes.Have a proven record of effective curriculum development and growth.Be a demonstrable leader with experience in the context of curriculum and staff management.Closing date for the return of a complete online application is 5th December 2021Interviews to be held 16th December 2021The benefits package includes generous annual leave of 37 days plus up to 7 additional days over Christmas/New Year as well as an additional 5 days Wellbeing leave to enhance employees' physical and mental health.
