The Role
The Royal British Legion is looking for an experienced Head of Supporter Development and Engagement within the Individual Giving Fundraising team. Sitting within the Fundraising Directorate, the Head of Supporter Development and Engagement will be responsible for managing and developing RBLs large supporter base.
You will be responsible for the implementation of supporter strategy and supporter journeys, marketing and managing Individual Giving programme to deliver a first-class supporter journeys for these supporters with the aim of communicating with our supporters, to secure future income for RBL. This will include delivering Direct Mail campaigns, Digital and Email Campaigns, Face-to-Face events, Videos and among others, ensuring that the team delivers all projects to budget and to target.
The successful candidate will have significant experience of leading teams, delivering marketing strategies and delivering complex marketing campaigns. Significant direct marketing technical experience and skills are essential, consisting of both offline and online communications. The candidate will also have significant evidence of effective income and expenditure budget management and of producing scenario models and forecasts, coupled with experience of analysing results and using insight to inform strategy and campaign plans. The individual must be confident in engaging with supporters, and comfortable presenting to large groups of individuals, both in person and online via videos and webinars, and be willing to travel across the country to attend events where necessary.
The role is primarily office based in our Head office, which is located at Haig House, 199 Borough High Street, London SE1 1AA, with occasional work from other RBL premises. However due to the COVID 19 pandemic the team are currently all working from home. This role will begin working from home and then follow organisational guidelines on returning to the office and homeworking policies, with potential opportunities to continue to work from home on a regular basis going forward. Please assume a minimum of 1-2 days per week in our London Office. Regular travel across the UK to events is also required.
