Job description

Our client requires a hosted solutions specialist responsible for hosting related proposals and offerings including hosting costs and pricing for all commercial proposals and renewals. This will involve careful analysis and pricing across 100s of customers and support the diverse product requirements across financial markets.

The role will involve gathering client requirements from new & existing hosted clients, consulting with them in terms of performance, managed services and operational activities. The will play a key role in presales, sales and renewals process. Interaction will be required with sales, account management, product management, data centre teams, development, finance, market data and other relevant departments. The teams plan to build standard models which reduce time and effort in presales, standardizing hosted offerings to build a clear strategy, particularly as more momentum builds towards cloud support.

Essential requirements
• Experience in a technology role in financial markets.
• Knowledge of front and / or back office technology and architecture / infrastructure.
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint usage.
• Clear, accurate and concise communicator with strict attention to detail.

Desirable requirements
• Experience in pre-sales, sales, customer presentations.
• Experience with cloud technology, hosting or managed services deployment.
• Experience with costs involved with data centre, network and cloud purchasing.
• Experience in cyber security.
• Experience in the automation of manual business processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Developing and managing the presales and sales process as it relates to hosting.
• Working closely with product business units to ensure hosting proposals for products are correctly represented in sales.
• Bridging together product, development and data centre teams in order to drive through collaborations required to complete successful sales.
• Ownership of complex excel based cost models per product area, to compute the cost and price of hosting.
• Responsible for client communications, sales and IA workshop presentations.
• Owning Implementation Analysis for hosting proposals, documenting requirements and proposed solutions.
• Managing RFP/I/Os, formulating responses in relation to any Cloud services.
• Aligning customer requirements with internal audits such as SSAE18 and others.
