HR Business Partner

Are you looking for the opportunity to work as a true HR Business Partner to a diverse client group?

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join a small, highly professional and closely-knit team that supports the purpose and needs of the organisation to achieve the five-year people strategy. This is a true generalist role in which you will collaborate with the HR Service Centre team and Learning and Development Manager to deliver appropriate advice and guidance to a specific customer group.

Location: London Bridge

Hours: Full-time

Contract: 18 Month FTC

Salary: £40,656 per year, rising to £41,556 after 1 year and successful probation

The Role

You will act as HR partner to managers in a specified client group, enabling the delivery of the highest level of service quality to service users through the organisations people. You will play an instrumental role in the transformation of services in line with the five-year strategy, including taking a lead role on any reward-related activity

Some other main responsibilities of the role include:

  • To coach and develop line managers to role model the organisation values and promote diversity
  • Liaise with the Learning and Development Manager to support and promote the annual In-house Learning and Development portfolio into services
  • Drive and guide the organisation in achieving success in their Disability Confident Employer journey
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to the HR team and to managers on all aspects of HR policy, practice and employee relations, discussing with, or referring matters to, the Director as required

About You

As HR Business Partner, you will have experience as a HR Business Partner in a fast paced, change oriented environment and will have excellent communication and relationship building skills. Knowledge of TUPE, restructuring, change consultation, coupled with sound employment law knowledge, you will have an experience or interest in the design and delivery of diversity and inclusion. Excellent written skills, numerate and attention to detail, with good IT skills are essential for this role.

The charity supports adults and children in crisis across London and the surrounding regions, as well as campaigning and advocating nationally on the issues that affect them. This includes victims of modern slavery, women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, young care leavers and older people. From giving someone a home, to helping them to get the right mental health support, the organisation supports people at the moment of crisis and enables them to build a life beyond crisis.
