The Instructional Content Designer will be the primary designer of the creation of learning material, focusing on engaging storytelling techniques and utilising social and collaboration tools to equip learners with the right skills and knowledge when they need it most.

Role & Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end design of new blended learning, leveraging the use of technology where possible to create immersive learning experiences.

Work with our development team to create visually engaging and brand compliant deliverables that are effective from a learner and cost perspective.

Develop strong relationships with internal and client subject matter experts to ensure deliverables align with pre-defined learning and business objectives.

Work closely with our global team to effectively maximise the benefit of different skills and time zones to drive best commercial outcomes.

Present ideas and solutions to key stakeholders, manage expectations and escalate potential risks to the project manager.

Follow agreed design schedule, processes and methodologies that avoid replication and duplication of effort.

Support peers in identifying innovative methods to deliver learning content, seeking insights from development team to ensure deliverables are feasible.

Drive continuous quality improvement by self and peer reviewing content during project development cycles and identifying opportunities for improving products for future engagements.

Review content post project delivery and identify elements that can be harvested for future learning opportunities.

Own the end-to-end refresh process of existing content, working closely with senior developers and Senior Instructional Designers.

Utilise internal expertise by building relationships with teams outside of the Learning Content team, exploring opportunities to incorporate technology and UX/UI best practice to enhance our Learning Services.

Stay appraised of the latest trends in learning design and development and share knowledge with the wider team.

Skills & Experience:

Knowledge of learning methodologies and instructional design processes.

Experience of stakeholder management, including working independently with subject matter experts to finalise designs.

Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft O365 products including MS Teams.

Awareness of SCORM standards, and standard content integrations of learning management systems.

Experience in using MS Teams as a virtual classroom tool is also preferable.

Ability to create highly engaging, blended learning that aligns to desired business outcomes.

Ability to work with a range of learning technologies and utilise new development tools.

Ability to drive a project through to completion, with the self-motivation to engage with the right individuals to get tasks completed in a timely manner.

Ability to work through ambiguity, and work closely with developers to build solutions that enable efficient development of content.

Awareness of key risks and issues during learning design, and ability to raise them immediately through the correct channels and offer options to mitigate risks, where possible, to minimise delays to projects.

Experience of working with internal and external subject matter experts to design effective learning.

A strong attention to detail and ability to provide constructive feedback to colleagues to ensure a high-quality product.

Understanding of the requirements when designing for a virtual and face-to-face environment.

This is an urgent requirement and our client is looking to move quickly for the right Instructional Content Designer.
