We are looking for an experienced and proactive individual who has directed operations in a similar sized organisation before to lead on reviewing and updating our internal systems and processes as we transition out of Nesta's systems and into a more independent commercial consultancy model.
You will be intuitive, have sound judgement, attention to detail and be a true team player - empowering others and building strong relationships, fast.
You will be very comfortable with big picture thinking and making strategic recommendations, at the same time as being heavily involved in the detail of our operations, including finance, planning, resourcing and reporting.

- Resource and financial management: Lead the development, implementation and review of new systems and processes to support the team's ongoing financial resilience, including budgeting, forecasting and monitoring of resource and programme spend. Ensure financial decision-making is consistent with short-term and long-term strategy. Apply your insights and expertise to inform the team business modelling processes.
- Internal operations: Lead the development, implementation and review of the team's procurement, invoicing & contracting processes; accountable for ensuring compliance with GDPR and all other relevant internal and external governance processes; develop and implement a robust and timely review process of these requirements and supporting processes.
- Business Development: Lead the development, implementation and review of new systems, tools and processes to support the team's approach to pipeline management and procurement and enable the team to proactively respond to new business opportunities
- Reporting: Lead the preparation, planning and delivery of our regular reporting processes; working closely with the coordinator to gather and report on management data; provide strategic updates to the wider leadership team to enable informed decision making, particularly in relation to finances, comms, business development, programme delivery and team management.
