Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer

Up to £48,000 + bonus up to 10% + package

Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer sought after by a global giant in the mission critical design industry, who have presence in the UK , The Americas, Asia, Africa and Europe. Join the London practice of this employee owned firm, supporting the multidiscipline design and consultancy services of data centres and other mission critical facilities throughout the UK & Europe.

This growing organization is planning to dominate the UK Data Centre design market. With growth expectations of circa 300% by 2023, and a diverse project portfolio both geographically and technically, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to become an industry recognised specialist in this buoyant market.

Open to those who work in other large scale projects or critical facilities, i.e Airports, server rooms, large commercial buildings, research facilities, hospitals, substations, pharmaceutical facilities, laboratories who seek a way into this market with an industry recognised specialist.

Roles to include:

Support design of Mechanical systems/equipment to provide for a useful and safe workplace.
Supporting the team advising clients regarding Mechanical systems/requirements available to meet their needs and comply with safety codes.
Monitor installation of designed equipment/systems to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety codes.
Participate in developing the design criteria for protective device coordination, relay applications, medium voltage transformers, switchgear, medium and low voltage distribution.
Reviews Mechanical designs and specifications of equipment or systems being purchased or fabricated.
Develop concept studies and design.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or architecture from accredited program.
2 years of related Mechanical design experience.
Knowledge of Mechanical design principles, standards, and codes.
CAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office skills necessary to accomplish Mechanical design goals.
