We're working with a highly capitalised sustainable energy investor with a number of funds that invest in energy-efficient projects. It has a unique and innovative strategy and significant capital to deploy over the short-medium term. It's looking to add an Associate to join its impressive and highly professional London team. This team has a global remit, with most of their investments in Europe but some also in the United States. You will be responsible for support on the entire transaction process including travelling within the UK and internationally to assess new deals. You will be involved in the whole lifecycle of the deal process, typically as part of a deal team. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support origination of new transactions in the energy efficiency, decentralized and renewable energy space
  • Develop and own financial modelling and valuation workstream;
  • Establish clear, detailed transaction plans, anticipating potential obstacles and plan how to overcome/accommodate these;
  • Managing the due diligence process with third parties;
  • Lead the valuation for SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust plc ("SEEIT plc") twice per year
  • Lead the portfolio management reporting required for quarterly SEEIT plc board meetings as
    well as regular external presentations

YOUR PROFILE:
  • Relevant financial industry experience with an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm;
  • Able to contribute to a positive, constructive working atmosphere with a focus on problem
    solving;
  • Strong desire to work within the sector
  • Strong financial and analytic background - you must have excellent modelling skills
  • A passion for the renewable energy sector and experience investing in data centres and battery storage are a plus
  • You are able to draft and prepare full suite of investment materials and other supporting documentation and analysis;
  • Be proactive, with ability to take on a high degree of responsibility and to execute critical work streams with limited supervision;
  • Motivation to work in a buyside team with particular focus on value creation through deal structuring;
