Job description
Who we're looking for
To identify, understand and orchestrate the successful integration of defined Investment strategies into the Schroders Investment Operating model. Managing complex Investment requirements and translate them into their practical application, minimising investment risk, and utilising the Schroders platforms.
Support both internal and external clients to maximise Investment objectives, exploiting the Investment Services Capabilities and associated infrastructure.

The team
The Mandate Integration Team reports to the Investment COO. The team provides primary support to the Distribution and Product functions on behalf of the Investment communities. The Mandate Integration Team co-ordinates the integration of Client Mandates and Schroder Fund Investment strategy into the core operating platforms.
What you'll do
• Be an essential partner of the Investment function, in provisioning an onboard.
• Be accountable to the Investment team, and responsible for ensuring a successful onboarding.
• Be the face of an onboard, representing the Investment teams'' best interests.
• Build strong relationships across the Schroders value stream, and its key contributors.
• Exhibit a broad understanding of Asset Management products and investment terms.
• Continually look for improvements to our onboarding experience, and streamline global processes.
Partner with Investment and Product teams to understand how the platform can best support future plans
• Have the ability to identify, understand and articulate investment requirements to stakeholders.
• Be confident in translating business requirements and data into a format that internal stakeholders can consume and act on. Triage questions and issues into potential options and solutions.
• Define investment operating requirements for new onboards.
• Connect investment with the operational functions to deliver platform requirements.
• Have the ability to identify significant elements within the Investment Management Agreement (IMA) that may impact the smooth onboarding of the client at the earliest stage.
• Have a strong understanding of Schroders Investment operating model capabilities.
• Maintain a control environment, and understand the governance associated.
• Have an attention to detail, and a focus on data quality.
• Promote consistency and reduce complexity across mandates and processes.
• Have a Project Management mindset, and understand how to keep the work moving.
• Ability to manage varying levels of Stakeholders, both internally and externally.
• Have the ability to manage high volumes of complex onboards at any one time.
• Support resolution of any onboarding process issue, both upstream and downstream.
• Build strong relationships within the SME community or specialist networks to achieve the overall goal.
• Understand what a successful outlook looks like.
In addition to the key pillars the following items are essential to helping the Investment team achieve their goals, on behalf of the client and Schroders:
• Support the CORE Capability Owners within the Agile framework, attending ceremonies, collaborative engagements with developers and Business Analysts, User Acceptance Testing, training and sign-off of deliverables.
• Be an active member of the Global Institutional Client Take on forums.
• Provide management, prioritisation and oversight of the end to end delivery of complex onboardings.
• Drive scalability and efficiency improvements, reducing cost and complexity in the operating model.
• Reduce Investment operational risk where appropriate.
