We have a Frontline Services team embedded within our IT department providing support to both staff and students across all UEL sites. This team now has an opportunity for a dynamic individual with enthusiasm for customer service and ambition to develop experience in 1st and 2nd line IT technical support to join.
This exciting position will challenge the post holder to provide both face-to-face and offline support for UEL IT services, working in line with our systems and processes to improve customer service and satisfaction. As an IT solutions assistant, you will have a working knowledge of both Audio-Visual (AV) classroom equipment and personal computers, and an aptitude for hands-on technical work. Dealing with a diverse range of staff and student interactions in a fast-paced complex organisation, the post holder will need the ability to solve problems from a wide range of requirements to improve our IT services to a widening university community.
The successful post holder will be customer-focused and patient with excellent communication skills. The post holder will be involved in wider Audio-Visual and IT related work, developments and projects, working with our IT Solutions Specialists. Always working within agreed service levels, you will be part of our drive to deliver measurable improvements to service quality and operational efficiency.
The post holder will need to be a positive and pro-active team player, with the confidence to contribute to decisions both within and external to the department. Liaising with a variety customers, stakeholders and vendors, you will need to have strong communication skills. The post holder will be comfortable in writing user-oriented guides and maintaining administrative systems, as well as providing the technical aspects of our services, and produce key deliverables to tight deadlines by effectively working with multiple priorities.
