Job description

We have one open position of Java AWS Architect for one of our client based at London, UK. This is a Contract/Permanent position(Whatever you choose). Below is the job description for your reference:

Job Description:

• Strong programming background with Java 8+ and J2EE technologies, Multithreading, collections framework, Spring and Spring boot
• Experience in designing and implementing cloud-based application architectures, micro services and distributed systems.
• Experience of Microservices that are based on Spring Boot, REST and web-sockets.
• Experience with design and implementation solutions using AWS managed services that includes on-premises and cloud based services.
• Collaborate with various application areas, Design, Network, Security, and other teams to drive technical decisions and deliver solutions to Cloud team initiatives.
• Provide architecture and connectivity design, workload optimization and solution design leveraging Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) as offered by partner Cloud Solution Providers (CSPs).
• 6+ years of experience in designing, executing, and supporting cloud solutions.
• 4+ years of experience in Legacy applications migration from on-prem to AWS cloud.

• 4+ years of strong proven hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure, VPC,
• DirectConnect, VPC Peering, ELB, Subnet, API Gateway, etc.
• Experience on data Streaming, messaging using Kafka within event driven systems.
• Experience in creating and handling pipelines in Apache Flink.
• Implementing experience S3 EC2, VPC, Gateway, RDS, CloudFormation, ECS, Faregate, CloudFormation, Docker, AWS Managed Kafka, AWS Managed Flink.
• Experience in designing and implementing Integration System that can consume input and generate output in various forms such as files, queues, SQL connections etc.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platform and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Database that includes Oracle and MySQL.
• Ability to execute and optimized complex database queries.
• Exposure of UX based environments, Shell Scripting.
• Well versed with agile development environment and test-driven development mentality; Hands on experience with tools like - Junit, Jest, Mockito etc).
• Experience with DevOps culture and setting up automation pipelines; this include tools of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) such as Git, Maven etc.
• Develop solution in highly demanding environment and provide hands on guidance to other team members.
• Comfortable multi-tasking and working as part of a global team, as well as working independently and taking ownership
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
