  • Collect food and beverage items from the main stores
  • Unload and load cages of equipment and deliveries as requested
  • Collection and disposal of kitchen waste in line with company procedures
  • Ensure that your designated area of work is prepared for service
  • Clear all breakages and spillages immediately and dispose of them in the correct manner i.e. do not put broken glass in the rubbish bins
  • Ensure that all equipment is stacked back into cages in a safe and correct manner i.e. heavy items at the bottom (runners of plates) and lighter items at the top (runners of coffee cups)
  • Work as part of a team to ensure its effective operation whilst assisting chefs in your kitchen
  • Leave both the clearance area and the kitchen clean and tidy, ensure that all floors are mopped and all areas are clear of any debris, equipment and furniture
  • Restock all disposable and chemical items in your unit
  • Complete requisitions for any disposable and chemical items you require
