This model is proven to make a measurable difference to people's lives and your professional satisfaction.We're currently supporting a gentleman in a single person supported living service who enjoys climbing and horse riding. He is very active and enjoys doing various activities within the community so a positive can-do attitude is essential.Your role will be to support this gentleman to live the life he chooses. On a day-to-day basis you will be supporting with meal preparation, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry.As Lead Support Worker you will work closely with the Locality Manager to coach and mentor Support Workers and Relief Support Workers, to ensure this gentleman is receiving outstanding person-centred care.We're looking for people who can work a combination of shifts across weekdays, weekends and your share of the bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.Knowledge and experience related to Autism and Positive Behaviour Support is preferred, however full training will be provided for the successful candidate.About ABA ServicesOur approach to support is specific to the individual. The same flexible approach is necessary when working in a mainstream teaching environment, for example, some pupils are auditory learners whereas others benefit from a more visual approach.Based on evidence from previous assessments and observations, the following interests, skills and characteristics possessed by the candidate will help the client to achieve their hopes and goals, promote and increase independence and in turn enhance self-confidence and cement their role in the local community and society.About youThe successful candidate would desirably possess/be interested in the following;Confidence whilst remaining humble, promoting inclusion at varying levels of ability in differing situationsTo be genuine, honest and endearing towards the client's more sensitive needsAlways be respectful of the client's wishes whilst up-holding and rewarding socially acceptable behaviourAs part of a team you may be required to work evenings and weekends. Your ability to be flexible and support your colleagues when needed is vitalHaving the initiative to research, be creative and introduce new ideas/placesSupporting people with their personal and intimate care as required.
